Warranty

Bassani stands behind the quality and craftsmanship of every product we build. Please review our warranty coverage below. If you believe you have a defective product, the fastest way to start a claim is through our online Warranty Claim Form.

Motorcycle Products

Bassani warrants its motorcycle products to be free from manufacturer defects for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase. Proof of purchase is mandatory. Bassani motorcycle products are covered under no other warranty, expressed or implied, as to merchantability or fitness for a particular use other than mentioned herein.

Finish Coverage

  • Nickel (Industrial/Polished Chrome): Warranted until installation and use, at which point the finish is considered to have limited resistance to rusting, discoloration, and peeling.
  • High-temperature ceramic coating: Warranted for 90 days from date of original purchase, with proof provided. Superficial surface rusting of header coating, especially between tubes, is considered normal and is not warranted as a defect.

Discoloration & bluing: The high exhaust temperatures produced by engines exceed the ability of chrome plating to handle heat without discoloration. Bassani does not guarantee pipes against discoloration or bluing.

⚠️ Wrapping pipes with heat tape may adversely affect the pipe and WILL VOID the warranty.

Warranty Consideration & Claims

To be considered for warranty replacement or repair — at the discretion of Bassani — all original products must be returned with original proof of purchase, shipped to Bassani via prepaid freight by the customer. Eligibility is verified upon visual inspection of the presumed defective product, with corrective action determined at that time.

Bassani shall not be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to installation labor charges, freight, loss of use, damage to the vehicle or other property, or injury to the operator, passengers, or others.

To Start a Claim

Important Supplemental Information

Catalytic Converters

Bassani high-performance products incorporating catalytic converters are NOT street legal and are not designed or advertised for use as stock replacement parts. All such parts are covered under the warranty above except the catalytic converters themselves, which carry a specific 90-day warranty from original purchase date. This covers defects in materials and workmanship only and does not cover catastrophic failure — such as catalyst overheating due to engine tune — or any physical damage to the converter or its housing. Illumination of a check engine light referencing catalytic converter banks or O2 sensors is not guaranteed (see Federal E.P.A. note below).

Sound

Bassani Xhaust mufflers, across all product lines, are NOT warranted to produce or cancel any particular tone, note, or resonance. As sound preference is purely subjective, we recommend conducting thorough research prior to purchase.

Voided Warranty

Any modification to an original "as shipped" Bassani product shall void its warranty. Any deviation from the original intended installation shall also render the warranty void.

Federal E.P.A. and State Laws

Federal E.P.A. and individual state laws make it illegal to remove properly functioning OEM catalytic converters from vehicles operated on public streets and highways. As such, installation of Bassani's catalyst-equipped products is not legal for sale or installation on vehicles operated on public streets and highways.

Installation of these products in competition applications may require MIL eliminators or O2 simulators to avoid setting a catalyst efficiency code, which will illuminate your vehicle's check engine light. This is due to the inability of currently available aftermarket converters to emulate the exact operation of factory OEM converters in late-model OBDII emission systems. Bassani recommends following aftermarket catalyst installation with a six-month road test period to determine the need for such a modification.
