A full exhaust system replaces everything from the cylinder head back — headpipes and mufflers — and delivers the most complete performance and sound change. Slip-on mufflers replace just the muffler section and bolt onto your existing headpipes, offering an easier install and a sound upgrade at a lower cost. Both are available across our lineup.

Most Bassani systems are offered in chrome, black, and stainless steel. The choice is largely about the look you want — all finishes are built to the same performance standard. Chrome offers a classic polished look, black delivers a blacked-out aggressive style, and stainless steel showcases the raw craftsmanship of the hand-welded pipework.

Some Bassani systems are offered in 49-state compliant versions, which include catalytic converters. These are noted on the product and in the system's details. Products incorporating catalytic converters are not street legal in all areas — please review the product information and our Warranty page for full details on emissions and compliance.

Yes — Bassani systems are known for their deep, signature tone. That said, sound preference is subjective, and factors like baffle choice, system type, and your specific bike all play a role. We recommend researching your specific system before purchasing, as our mufflers are not warranted to produce any particular tone or resonance.

Bassani motorcycle products are warranted against manufacturer defects for one year from the date of purchase, with proof of purchase required. Specific finishes and catalytic converters carry their own coverage terms. See our Warranty page for complete details.

No — this is normal. The high exhaust temperatures produced by engines can cause chrome to discolor or blue near the cylinder heads. This is expected with high-performance exhaust and is not covered as a defect. See our Warranty page for more.

We strongly advise against it. Wrapping pipes with heat tape can adversely affect the pipe and will void your warranty.
